Artist's Comments

We are but marionettes on a stage.
Our strings burried deep in our skin.
Tugged this way, pulled that way.
To our puppet master's whim.
Will we ever possibly break free?

Just a random doodle I did quite awhile I ago. I like everything but her face. As you could probably tell..I am not good with backgrounds. She's supposed to be in a spotlight on a stage or something.

Regular number two pencil, sketching paper, a bit of editing in photoshop. Just simply lowering the saturation.

Your little piece of poetry in your description hit me hard. That's how I've felt for about 9 years of my life.

Eh, I thought famous last words were more along the lines of "AAAAAAAARRRRRRGHHHH!"

I think the face is the best part. She doesn't even care that her eyes are covered by her hair because she's given up caring about anything at all, really.
Why look to see what's happening to you if you have no control over any of it? But even more than that, she looks like she'd prefer not to see.

The whole picture is great.

Wow, that really was just a spurt of the moment thing. That's what I think when I look at this picture.
Thank you for the comment.
:iconmthica:
That's exactly what I pictured she'd be feeling/thinking. You're very good.
Thank you very much, I kind of do like this picture. Despite the fact there are some things wrong with it.
And my scanner screwed around with it.

Thank you so much, for the comment, and the favourite.
Nice gallery by the way. And your page is nifty too.
:iconnobodylikesemail:
I can definately see where the scanner probably messed it up, but it honestly doesn't take away too much from the peice.

Yeah it's not to hard to find out where it was messed up.
I also spilled some stuff on it. But there are only two small splotches on it.
:iconnobodylikesemail:
Quite focusing on all the problems, lol

The picture looks great =)
